Success Doesn't Mean Starving Yourself!

This is for all the girls who have ever been on a diet and have “yo-yoed” with their weight year after year. I feel ya, sister, I honestly do.

You are probably looking at these pictures and thinking, “That’s not a transformation.” But this is probably the biggest transformation I’ve posted to date. Let me explain.

The picture from 2010 is from my honeymoon. At the time, it was the smallest I’d ever been in my adult life. Like most brides, I wanted to get skinny for my wedding. So what did I do? I did high intensity workouts for TWO hours per day and I ate a diet that consisted of yogurt, lettuce, and chicken for 2 straight months. I feel like this type of “dieting” is pretty normal for females and a lot of brides fall into similar routines when they are getting ready for their big day.

I lost the weight I wanted, but there was absolutely no way that I could maintain my size because everything I did to earn it was COMPLETELY UNHEALTHY. I had adopted a temporary solution and restricted myself of almost all food. I gained 8 -15lbs (depending on the year and which way the yo-yo swung) following my wedding. I always wanted to get back down to my wedding size but I honestly didn’t think that it was a realistic size for me. I didn’t think I could be that size again without starving myself.

Fast forward four years to the picture on the right in 2014 after I discovered the ‪21 Day Fix‬. I’d FINALLY figured out how to EAT REAL FOOD and maintain the size that I desire! Instead of focusing on what I’m not eating, I focus on all the foods I SHOULD BE EATING.

My body has completely changed and I’ve sustained this weight for almost 4 months now. And for those who are wondering, I do eat unhealthy foods AT LEAST once a week. You should see me at football watch parties - I rarely hold back when it comes to cookies and anything with frosting. But I’ve found a BALANCE that works for me and that’s what is important. I can eat food AND have the body I’ve always wanted.

My point is: STOP STARVING YOURSELF. EAT FOOD. FIND YOUR BALANCE. If you need help getting started, message me. I’d love to introduce you to the best program ever.
