It's the pain that creates the prize.
Sometimes I forget to stop to look at life these days and to look at how far we've come and where we started. As I was looking at our photos from five different countries and thirteen different cities this year, it was as if I was looking at someone else's life. We couldn't even afford airplane tickets home for Christmas three years ago and now this is our reality. How did we get here?!
Pain. That's how.
👊The pain of feeling like I wasn't living up to my full potential. 👊The pain of looking in the mirror & hating the person I'd become. 👊The pain of being the hardest worker in the room yet seeing my career sit stagnant. 👊The pain of being being in substantial debt 2 years ago. 👊The pain of thinking about having kids and NOT being able to stay at home with them someday. 👊The pain of fighting constantly with Ben because of our financial issues and my own self-hatred.
When I couldn't take the pain anymore, God gave me this crazy Beachbody business and a different type of pain.
👊The pain of putting myself out on social media to risk judgment and hate from others. 👊The pain of realizing that I was so broken, and so were a lot of other people. 👊The pain of making healthy choices every day - working out sucks. 👊The pain of being rejected, mocked, & misunderstood by so many people. 👊The pain of failure over and over again. 👊The pain of late nights, early mornings, missed social events and TV shows in order to dedicate time to my business.
In either situation above, I was making a CHOICE to feel pain, to take on challenges, and to fail publicly. However, only ONE choice was going to move my life forward and release me from the pain.
Beachbody hasn't been easy: it's been work and it's been a pain. But through that pain we found our prize. 💜Living with a mission and with passion to help others succeed in their own lives. 💜Paying off student loan debt. 💜FREEDOM - so much freedom - every single day. 💜Together Ben and I get to travel, live, & love like I didn't believe was even possible for us two years ago!
The prize doesn't come without the pain, people. But if your life is already in pain - financially, emotionally, spiritually, professionally - then change the pain! If you want to improve your life, DO IT. If you want to live on your own terms, DO IT! No matter what your dream is, DO IT! YOU ARE CAPABLE if you accept a different kind of pain.
Feel the pain and do it anyways.
